Decision Women in Commerce & the Professions
Presidential Endowment Scholarship

This Scholarship is awarded to a full time/part time woman student who is a Brookhaven Town resident majoring in Business/Management or a Profession. Funds for this scholarship are provided by Decision for Women in Commerce and the Professions, located in Brookhaven Township, New York.

Eligibility for his tuition scholarship is based upon demonstrated financial need a determined by he FA and by demonstrated academic achievement of cumulate grade average of “B” (3.0). She must have completed 12 credits at Dowling College. Applicant must be a resident of the Town of Brookhaven, who entered college for advancement of her career. Preference will be given to women over thirty years old that are a member of Dowling College Open society.

The recipient may be eligible for renewal of this scholarship for the succeeding year upon reapplication. Application and reapplication procedures shall be made known by the Financial Aid Office. To be considered, students must submit an an application, the FAF and their grade transcript to the Financial Aid Office prior to April 1st. The award will be in effect for the following September.

Determination of the recipient will made by the Academic Standards Committee. Students are reminded that acceptance of this scholarship may alter any other financial aid awarded them and in no case will the student’s financial aid exceed the cost for tuition for the academic year. Our goal is to award this scholarship annually.
